About a 90-minute drive from Chicago in western Michigan, Harbor Shores is a scenic Jack Nicklaus–designed course praised for its conditioning; built atop a remediated former industrial site, it transforms land once contaminated by toxic compounds into a natural refuge. The reclamation and legacy structures forced the routing to spread holes across the expansive property—divided into distinct segments and routing across the Paw Paw River multiple times—and the course has been a recurring venue for the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship (hosting five times, including 2022 and 2024). Players encounter a wide variety of terrain—from thick woods and dunes to creeks, fescue, and a standout three-hole stretch that runs along Lake Michigan.
