Built on the outskirts of Hobe Sound, Florida, The Grove XXIII is Michael Jordan’s personal paradise. Architect Bobby Weed was tasked with two goals: building the best golf course and the best driving range. The Grove XXIII opened in the fall of 2019 and at the request of Michael Jordan, plays fast and firm. Nicknamed “Slaughterhouse 23”, it is notoriously set up to favor its owner. Bobby Weed designed the golf course in a double-helix routing that allows golfers to play different nine hole combinations, as well as three to six hole loops. The flexibility in routing comes from greens and tees being conveniently located near one another.
